The Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) has assigned the task of conducting the GRE (local) Subject wise test to the National Testing Service (NTS) for the subject scholarships. Applicants are invited for study abroad under the Culture Exchange Scholarship Programed for year 2016

Scholarship Description
Master’s and Ph.D. studies in various subjects.
The scholarships are expected from China, Turkey, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Mexico, Greece, Russia, South Korea and Italy.
These scholarships are fully funded as the donor countries provide
Tuition fee
Accommodation and monthly living allowance, which varies from country to country

Eligibility criteria
The candidate must have completed sixteen year Education that is MA/ MSc or must hold four years B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Eng.), BCS(Hons), MBBS in the relative field.
Maximum age limit is 35 years on the closing date of applications.
Applications having more than one second division in their academic career are not eligible to apply
Attested copies of each supporting document of all education documents including domicile certificate, must be sent with the application.
The professional degree holder B.Sc. Engg/ MBBS B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture should submit detailed marks certificate of each year
Scholarships are awarded on merit determined on basis of NTS test score, observing Provincial/ Regional quota
The candidate will have to take Language Course of respective country (if applicable).

Application submitted by hand will not be entertained

Applications must be received by NTS not later than 11- 11-2015.

Applications are invited for Commonwealth Split-site Scholarship available for the citizens of developing commonwealth countries. Scholarships are available for pursuing Split-site (PhD) (where the CSC supports one year’s study at a UK university as part of a PhD being undertaken in applicant’s home country) studies at UK universities.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these scholarships, you must:
Be a Commonwealth citizen, refugee, or British protected person
Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
Be registered for a PhD at a university in your home country
Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2016
By October 2016, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honor’s standard, or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree)

Scholarship Description
 Commonwealth Split-site (PhD) Scholarships are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), with the aim of contributing to the UK’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth. Each scholarship provides:
Approved airfare from your home country to the UK and return at the end of your award (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependents, nor usually the cost of journeys made before your award is finally confirmed)
Approved tuition and examination fees
Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of £1,034 per month, or £1,268 per month for those at universities in the London metropolitan area (rates quoted at 2015-2016 levels)
Thesis grant towards the cost of preparing a thesis or dissertation, where applicable
-Warm clothing allowance
Study travel grant towards the costs of study-related travel within the UK or overseas
If you are widowed, divorced, or a single parent, child allowance of £444 per month for the first child, and £109 per month for the second and third child under the age of 16, if you are accompanied by your children and solely legally responsible for them. Once received by the CSC, each candidate’s application is first considered by a member of the CSC’s panel of advisers with expertise in the subject area concerned, and then by the CSC’s selection committee in competition with other candidates. Applications are considered according to the following selection criteria:

Potential impact of the work on the development of the candidate’s home country

How to Apply-Download Form
You can apply for a Commonwealth Split-site (PhD) Scholarship to support up to 12 months’ study at an eligible UK university as part of a PhD being undertaken in your home country, under the joint supervision of home country and UK academics. You should apply to study at a UK university with which the CSC has a part funding agreement. Part funding agreements are at the discretion of individual universities. You must make your application directly to the CSC using the CSC’s Electronic Application System (EAS). You are not required to apply via a nominating body for these scholarships.

Applicants only need to complete and submit ONE application form to be considered for the three different types of Academic Scholarships on offer before you apply, you will need to apply to QTAC to receive your reference number. Your QTAC number is the reference number which you receive after you have lodged your QTAC application online. Your QTAC number will begin with a '16'

Higher Education commission invites application form from full time Pakistani/ AJK University teaching faculty member working on regular basis for PhD scholarship program provided by Commonwealth Commission United Kingdom 2016. These scholarships are for PhD students in all fields but priority areas are Education, Health, Economic, Growth and the private Sector, Governance and conflict, Climate and Environment, Water and Sanitation, Food and Nutrition and Humanitarian Disasters and Emergencies.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of Academic record, quality of research proposal, potential of candidate, and the impact of work on the development of Pakistan.
Must be Pakistani National or AJK citizen.
Must have first class master’s degree or equivalent (MS 18 year).
Must be a full time regular university teacher at the time of their application to which they intended to return
Applicant applying for the doctoral study must provide the evidence of support from a prospective supervisor or at least one of their chosen institute at the time of application.
Applicant must have an overall IELTS score of no less than 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in each band in academic IELTS. The test taken no earlier than 1 October 2015 and no Later than 06 March 2016. The British Council, on the request of HEC, will hold the IELTS test for final nominees only.

Download HEC application form and fill it by using MS word (click here to download).
Fill online Commonwealth application form (for respective scholarship program) through Electronic Application System (EAS), from online Application by selecting HEC as your nominating agency. Get three (03) printouts of your online application form (duly filled and signed by the head/Vice Chancellor)

This facility is available in all branches of Habib Bank Ltd. A separate bank Account No. 17427900133401is being maintained for the purpose.
§  HEC will conduct interviews of potential candidates initially prescreened by Commonwealth through the experts at HEC and after interview, finally shortlisted candidates will be required to take IELTS academic test and further nominated to Commonwealth UK for further processing.
§  Incomplete applications or applications received after HEC deadlinewill NOT be accepted, for further processing. The recommendation of nominating agency i.e. HEC will be final and binding. Further, final selection will be made by the Commonwealth. Please note that HEC nomination does not guarantee for final selection.
§  Commonwealth UK does not accept direct applications. All nominations from Pakistan will be routed via HEC. HEC prefers equal opportunity, however, females are encouraged to apply. Please send filled in EAS application form along-with documents in spiral binding (3 sets) each separately and one copy of HEC application form duly filled in and signed by employer separately along with bank receipt on or before deadline on the address given below.
